What "Farm-Direct" Cannabis Actually Means (and Why It Costs Less)
"Farm-direct" is on our sign, our bags and our website. Here's what it actually means at TKO, and why it matters for what you pay at the counter.
Most cannabis passes through a lot of hands
In most of Oregon's market, cannabis takes the long way to the shelf. A farm grows it, a processor or wholesaler buys it, a distributor moves it, and a dispensary finally sells it to you. Every stop adds a markup.
At TKO, the growers own the shop
We've been growing since 2010. We started in Seattle's medical market, earned Jackson County's first recreational grower license in 2015, and have farmed 60 acres of Southern Oregon ever since. Our Portland shop is the last step in a short chain. Anything with the TKO name goes from our field to our shelf with no middleman in between.
Why that means better everyday prices
Fewer hands means fewer markups. That's how we keep prices low every day instead of waiting for a sale. It's the idea behind our Everyday Knockouts: standing low prices, no special day required. Taxes are already included in every price you see, so the number on the tag is the number you pay.
You're also buying from people who know the plant
Farm-direct also means knowledge. Our team knows how the flower was grown, when it was harvested and how it was cured, because they know the people who did it. Ask about a strain's terpenes or how we dry our flower, and you'll get a real answer.
Not everything on our shelves is ours, and that's on purpose
We also carry a curated mix of Oregon brands we trust. That way there's something for everyone, from everyday staples to specialty picks, and the same standards apply to everything we stock.
The farm is more than a grow
Our Southern Oregon farm is also home to a sanctuary for rescued steer and alpacas. Caring for the land and the animals on it shapes how we grow. Our mission hasn't changed: do right by the plant, the product and the place we call home.

Visit us at 851 NE Columbia Blvd, Portland, OR 97211, a few minutes from PDX. We're open Monday through Friday, 7am to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 7pm. We have free parking, take cash and card, and have an ATM on site. You must be 21+ with a valid ID.
